Facebook say "Now you can use friend lists to control exactly who can see what."

And indeed you can. The exclusion is more prominent than the inclusion, which threw me for a bit. In fact, I'm not entirely convinced that "Some Friends.." hasn't just been added in the last few minutes.

There's also a welcome new option to allow friends of friends to see types of things. I've moved photos & videos to this, and the profile stuff that used to be just friends & networks. I'm toying with excluding "Clients" from status updates.

The options raise a question - if I'm friends with Gwen and Jack, but not Ianto, and set videos to be seen by Friends of Friends Except Jark Harkness, under what circumstances should Ianto be able to see the videos? If he was friends with Gwen, but not Jack - he should. If he was friends with Jack only - he shouldn't. If he's friends with both - what should happen?

Oh, and I'm relieved that Torchwood will be over very soon - after the Wednesday episodes tonight, it moves to Friday so we have two in one week. Wraps up on BBC2 Fri April 4th, with conflicting reports on exactly when BBC3 will show the finale (looks like we have the usual week-with-no-next-week's-episode to screw the momentum).

To me, this seems a clearer indication of April 5th being Doctor Who series launch than the timings of the Ross interview and TV screening of the cinema trailer. It's all quite exciting... and then I remember Donna. Ah well.

Aye, it does look useful, and I've no doubt we can find some flaws. The "some friends" option has been there since they launched, I opened their blog post when it showed up earlier, and have had the tab open until I'd have time to play around with it this evening.

I really like the look of the "all except" option, it would be really good if LJ did it—"all friends except Jennie (because it's her XXX next week)" would be a very useful option, as would "everyone except the locals" or similar.

That's a poiint, I thought New Who was starting Easter weekend? Must've been wrong.

I haven't watched any of this season Torchwood (save the episode with the meat packing factory). Is it actually worth investing the time?

No. Its really bad. I don't know how Barrowman can keep a straight face with some of the emo crap he has to come out with.

I think you saw the best episode. The first Martha episode is worth catching before she next turns up in Who but she was ridiculously under-used in her other two episodes.

If he's friends with both - what should happen?
He'll be able to see the videos simply because he is friends with Gwen. At least, that's how I think it would work. Sounds confusing. Personally, I've just set up lots of lj filters so I can post specifically to the people I want to. Not that I bother much but it does come in handy for Friends Pages :D

I thought this Friday's episode was a repeat? Not that it matters, my lovely Sky+ serial link will pick it up whenever they move it to! I should check though and advise Samantha just in case she is the most informed TW person in the world... it could happen... maybe...

I quite liked Donna in the Xmas special she was in. So, looking forward to Dr Who openheartedly. I'll miss TW though. Especially, the eye candy ;)
